London’s embarrassment of restaurant riches is evident across the entirety of the list - these 100 restaurants are the city’s elite. I relay my detailed notes and they seem impressed, until I mention how hard the skates were to put on. Again, we have the different-ability issue – some have finished; others are still on needle-threading – and I’m spread pretty thinly, and not especially useful even when I am there. The final string to Bambi's bow – sit back and enjoy some post-dinner tunes spun by resident DJs with vinyl plucked from the custom-made wall of records forming the back of the restaurant. No problem with any of that, but I struggle with the operation of the interactive whiteboard: keep getting the wrong screen up or making it disappear altogether.

The concept is a more playful, yet still elegant, exhibit of dishes which also allude to the West African influences in Brazilian cuisine. A really excellent site such attention to detail - it looked like every blade of grass had been attended to. Meanwhile, the Sinasir, a fermented and beautifully crispy crab cake, was stuffed with white crab meat that wasn’t overdressed and retained its natural sweetness.Serving up vibes as hot as its food, Plaza Khao Gaeng is the Southern Thailand inspired eatery that’s been spicing up London’s food scene since 2022. But culinary director Claude Bosi (of Bibendum fame) and chef Francesco Dibenedetto are not ones to be upstaged. It's been a long road that led Jamie Oliver to this – a brand-new flagship restaurant that's turning heads in Covent Garden.

Fluffy creamy eggs, caramelized beef bacon, spicy chipotle aioli, and the best garlic and herb Hawaiian buns to seal the deal. uk/what-real-living-wage The real living wage is calculated every year as the minimum hourly rate that a person needs to live properly. Part of London’s burgeoning gastropub scene, Mount Street’s intricately designed restaurant, combined with the brilliance and artistry in Jamie Shears’ cooking, make for a truly unique experience. Opt for one of the classics from the all-French wine list – we were lucky enough to visit on the historic Beaujolais Nouveau day so a juicy, cool sparkling red was our tipple of choice. You’ll find an ever changing menu of seasonal produce that never scrimps on quality or flavour, and a selection of fine wines to match. There's a complex and creative 11-course tasting menu, but guests won't know exactly what they're being served until the dish is placed on the table. The staff were all lovely but in particular our dining waiter George was fabulous, friendly and made the whole dining experience fantastic. It’s the passion project of Oisin Rogers, who has been steering London and Dublin pubs for three decades – most notably and most recently at The Guinea Grill – and Charlie Carroll, founder of Flat Iron steakhouses.

The new look Lanesborough Grill has made a splash with masterful British cooking, courtesy of executive chef Shay Cooper. With elegant and refined decor, it’s also in the running for one of London’s most majestic dining rooms. Don't miss the chocolate-cake-chocolate-mousse hybrid for pudding, while sinking into the joyously comfortable chairs (interiors were all chosen to be as relaxed and informal as possible). With a focus on championing the best of Ethiopian cuisine, you can expect dishes to be packed with plenty of flavour, and a fair amount of spice.

Its eye-popping interiors are a playful homage to aeronautics and cars – twin passions of the Peninsula’s owner, Sir Michael Kadoorie, who is a pilot and classic car collector. Executive chef Johnnie Crowe’s masterpiece menu demonstrates a huge amount of skill, while still allowing the ingredients to breathe and sing. Then, on duty at the gate, the assistant head (who, if I’m honest, I’m usually a bit scared of) is smiling.

This microbrewery crawl gives a taste of multiple unique tipples made by independent beer producers. Whatever you do, don't sleep on the lemon crème brûlée, the love child of the classic French pud and a lemon tart. It's a proper late-night hangout, and the crimson silk walls and intimate booths only exacerbate the vibes making for a fun-loving neighbourhood addition that, at its core, dials into Soho's soul – or at least, a very elevated version of it. Along with classroom management, it’s one of the things that strikes me as being really hard: how to spread yourself out and give enough attention to 30 children with mixed abilities.Turn the iconic French sandwich, Croque Monsieur, into the most delicious and indulgent breakfast sandwich!
